Used/Extra West Coast Vibratory Bowl Feeder
*Shipping is included
The West Coast Vibratory Bowl Feeder is an efficient device used for sorting brass by height using five offshoots.
The process involves several stages:
1.) Feeding: The brass casings are loaded into the vibratory bowl feeder.
2.) Vibration: The bowl feeder vibrates, causing the casings to move in a spiral motion along the track.
3.) Orientation: As the casings travel, they are oriented in a consistent position, usually base down, to ensure accurate sorting.
4.) Height Sorting: The casings pass through a series of height gauges. Casings that do not meet the height criteria are diverted to the appropriate offshoot.
5.) Collection: The sorted casings are collected from the five offshoots, each designated for a specific height range.
6.) Overall, this automated process increases efficiency and accuracy in sorting once-fired brass by height.
The Bowl originally costed $12,500 plus shipping and there was a 6 month waiting list. We received the vibratory bowl in February of 2022, it is in mint condition!!

Why get the vibratory bowl? The answer is it saves time, time, time!!!!
Sorting brass by hand can be a very time-consuming process, often taking several hours depending on the quantity and the level of sorting required. By using an automated sorting machine, you can significantly reduce this time. For example, if it takes 4 hours to sort brass by hand, an automated machine could potentially reduce this to just 1 hour, saving you 3 hours. The exact time saved will depend on the efficiency of the machine and the amount of brass to be sorted.
Below are the components and voltage specifications of this feeder:
1.) Bowl: The main component where the brass casings are placed. It is designed to orient the casings in a specific direction as they move along the bowl.
2.) Base: Provides stability to the bowl and houses the electromagnetic drive unit.
3.) Electromagnetic Drive Unit: Responsible for creating the vibrations that move the casings through the bowl.
4.) Control Box: Allows the user to adjust the vibration intensity and frequency to optimize the feeding process.
5.) Tracks: Guides the oriented casings to their next destination, typically a processing machine.
6.) Sensor: Detects the presence of casings and ensures continuous feeding by sending signals to the control box.
7.) Voltage Specifications: Operating Voltage: Typically operates at 110-120V AC or 220-240V AC, depending on the model and regional specifications.
8.) Power Consumption: Generally, ranges between 50W to 150W, varying with the vibration intensity and feeder size.
